"The Parental Rights Movement- A Hard Fight But Not Impossible"
Something greater than any of us, chose to use our bodies as vessels to create more life. A parent is the assigned soul mate of their child. Blood charged to teach, protect, nurture, provide and love. Never would I think in the grand scheme of things that a God given right would be stolen from me for the purpose of revenue.
A new-age slavery has taken the place of the old and to make it plain to you, we are simply stealing from ourselves. I had not been conceived in the first movement of civil rights, I only have the stories of persons who lived through it, participated in it and collectively changed the world for the better to go on. However when I think of the conditions of oppression that black people endured and compare it to the suffering of Parents in today’s times who have been utterly destroyed by child protective agencies across the country, I am left to conclude that we have entered into another dimension of the self defense of our civil liberties.
This is not a joke or dramatic printed constructs; this is real and very likely could happen to anyone. During the great depression and continuing thereafter poor displaced white people in Kentucky Hollers and across the nation endured the kidnapping of their children to be sold to childless rich people able to afford the price to adopt them. The circle of life is repeating itself, duplicating this atrocity and the non violent struggle to cease these senseless acts. Every battle for freedom in history has been a long hard fight; the oppression of India, the oppression of the Irish, the Holocaust, the Berlin Wall, the ending of slavery, the Civil Right’s Movement. It has taken over 120 years for some laws of equality to be passed, but history also shows that every sacrifice made during those dark times ended in success.
The last time I fought this hard was to make it out of my mother’s womb, but there is no greater battle in life if not for the sake of a better quality of life. The ignorance, greed and hatred of others never stopped the wheels of justice from turning it simply inspired fortitude. Nor did it put out the light of hope for all who suffered, pain only made them stronger, better, more equipped to keep going. We will go the 20 rounds and keep coming back to fight harder, we will never forget and we will push forward. Change gone come and whether we live to see or not, we will know that we had a significant part in that outcome.
The Parental Rights Movement has begun.
About Me
- oneoutofmany.org
- Many parents are alone in the most tremendous lifelong responsibility ever posed to them, which is the raising and nurturing of their children. It is the immediate and ongoing endeavor of this organization to provide advocacy for families with one parent households, by way of providing programs to address the unique needs of single parent households and petitioning policies to protect parental rights and family preservation. It is our purpose to offer alternate solutions for parents to take advantage of without having to seek other options that may not serve them to their best abilities and/or depreciate the quality of their standards of living.
